DroneDeploy.org to Provide Free Software Access in Response to Hurricane Ian for Coordinated Response Efforts

As part of our commitment to help emergency response teams scale their operations in times of crisis, DroneDeploy will provide free software access to organizations conducting orchestrated response efforts to relieve individuals and communities impacted by Hurricane Ian.

Qualified organizations will receive short-term access to DroneDeploy’s enterprise cloud-processing platform, as well as priority support from our crisis response and technical support teams.

To request assistance, simply fill out the form here, and our support team will provide access as soon as possible.

DroneDeploy established crisis response support through our social impact program, DroneDeploy.org. Over the years, DroneDeploy has supported multiple crisis situations, including Hurricane Irma, Super Typhoon Yolanda and the 2018 Camp Fire in Northern California's Butte County. The software enables organizations to quickly scale drone operations in times of crisis.

Drone technology is evolving fast and their use in disaster response is quickly becoming integral to emergency teams worldwide. Drone mapping is often crucial to early response efforts, as it allows teams to access hard-to-reach areas safely and assess damage, use online tools for virtual collaboration, and quickly collect data over large areas.

DroneDeploy’s Live Map feature, and livestreaming and cloud processing capabilities allow response organizations to get results quickly in times of crisis.

The crisis response program at DroneDeploy is open to all emergency and disaster response organizations that are coordinating with official local, state and national response efforts. The FAA has issued an airspace NOTAM for Florida and is urging drone pilots to follow all local restrictions and not impede emergency response operations.
